How I know I'm in Oklahoma

We made it!  After eleven hours of driving in separate vehicles with two very confused cats, we finally made it to Tulsa on Friday evening.  There were--and still will be--many things to adjust to, but we're getting there, and it's beginning to feel like home again.

There are a few things that remind me I'm back in good ol' Oklahoma:
  1. We get excited when we drive by a sign that declares the current temperature as ninety-four degrees, as this is twenty degrees cooler than some of the highs we've already experienced (no exaggeration).
  2. When ordering at Sonic, a voice through the intercom greets us with, "Wassup?!  Welcome tah Sonic!  What ken I getchya, yo?"
  3. The best thing about being back is that we're surrounded by a bounty of friends and family that have greeted us with the warmest welcome anyone could imagine.  We've yet to spend a single evening just the two of us, and we're so thankful for the company.
Tomorrow both of us have orientation for our jobs.  We're both nervous and excited, so prayers are coveted.

That's all I can think of for now!  Just wanted to let you know we made it and are still alive and well, though a bit heat-shocked.

Love to you all!
