The West Coast

We've gotten a few requests for more pictures, so I'll narrate a bit here, but mainly leave you with more photos.

Yesterday we went to the west coast with my aunt and two cousins!  It was beautiful.  We walked around for a while and went on a little nature walk; then we eventually settled on a secluded place near some cliffs.  We had a great time relaxing and just enjoying each others' fellowship.  I fell asleep (while Harry Potter was being read to me), but Brett woke me up a few minutes later and excitedly asked, "You want to come catch crabs?!"  Discombobulated, I hesitantly agreed.  I had no idea how fun fishing for crabs could be.  We all took turns holding a piece of string with a clothespin on the bottom, which held a mussel as bait.  I think we caught ten or so (don't worry, animal lovers, we let them all go and made them race each other back to the water).

Today we were home with the kiddos, which is always entertaining!  It's been a little rainy today, but Gloria and David still managed to show us the way to the nearest grocery store.  We had lunch with my dad at a place near his work (Check out the pictures of the pizza!), and tonight my parents are having some friends over for dinner.

And now for the pictures!

This is a Swedish Vacation Hot-Spot for Swedes and Nords

At the bottom of our nature adventure...
(Brett saw stairs and had to see where they went)
...and at the top of our little hike!

Fishing for crabs

Yummy yummy!

When it rains here, the slugs come out.  Yuck.

  1. Sounds like you are having a wonderful time!! Thanks for the pictures. :)
And funny story: On our way home from CO, we passed a group of Nords/Swedes on Harleys driving from Chicago to LA on 66. Apparently, it's a pretty popular thing to do! Haha. Made me think of you and Brett's adventure in Europe. I'm glad that you are having a wonderful time!
