My cousin Malin came over on Saturday and spent the weekend with us. She and I are only a few months a part in age, and even though it's been about five years since we've seen each other, it's always like no time has passed at all when we reunite. It was so great to see her and talk with her. And she speaks excellent English, so Brett was included at all times, too. We had such a great time with you, Malin!
Yesterday Dad, Brett, Hanna, and I drove down to Gothenburg to spend some time with my aunt and grandma on Dad's side. We went to the shore, ate at a cafe overlooking the ocean, and got some GB Glass (Swedish ice cream!) on our way home, of course. We also did a little bit of shopping and got to see some of downtown Gothenburg on our way back to Trollhattan. The evening ended with two episodes of Monk (my parents own the third season on DVD), which is becoming a nightly ritual.
Today Dad, Hanna, Brett, David, and myself had lunch by the river. The food was wonderful, and the company was even better. I'm treasuring these moments with my family, to be sure.
Currently Brett's playing the Swedish version of Sorry! with David and Hanna. The game just started, but I'm sure it will get pretty intense here soon.
Hope you're having a lovely day!
